Governance
The Union is a membership-based organisation that was created in May 2007 in Geneva, Switzerland. Membership is divided into three groups: trading members, affiliate members and individual members. Every year, a general assembly of members is held. The trading and affiliate members elect the Board of Directors of the Union and approve the management of the organisation.
To support the functioning of the Union, the Board has appointed various committees, including an appeals committee, a membership committee, and a standards committee.
The Union’s day-to-day management is handled by the Executive Director based in Geneva.
