Training for auditors

 

As an auditor working within a UEBT-accredited certification body, you are required to complete training modules designed especially for you.  After self-registering in the Ethical BioTrade Learning Platform, your dashboard will show the modules available. Enroll in a course and you can begin learning.  Descriptions of these modules are below.

CB1 - General Information for Certification Bodies An introductory course for auditors and CB coordinators with general information on the relationship between UEBT & CBs To have a clear understanding of:
  • UEBT, the Ethical BioTrade Standard and the different verification and certification solutions available
  • What UEBT expects from Certification Bodies
  • Roles, responsibilities and minimum qualifications of CB coordinators and auditors
  • Type of audits CBs could carry out
  • Possible sanctions
  • Good practices to verify that the principles of the UEBT standard are being promoted by UEBT members and certificate holders
CB 2 – Ingredient Certification for Certification Bodies A course for auditors and CB coordinators focusing on the CB role in UEBT ingredient certification To have a clear understanding of:
  • The UEBT ingredient certification programme
  • The assurance approach & the CB’s role in the process to obtain certification
  • The tools available to guide the audits (e.g. checklists)
  • How the audits are to be planned and conducted
  • How to report on the audits
  • How to score and address nonconformities
